JOB DESCRIPTION

1:1 Tutor of English

Casual contract, paid per hour up to 25 hours per week.

Hourly rate dependent on qualifications, please see below:

M6 Higher rate for those with QTS -£32.61 per hour

UN5 Medium rate for those with relevant degree but no QTS -£23.49 per hour

UN1 Lower rate for those with no degree or QTS -£16.25 per hour

We are seeking to appointcommitted individuals to work as part of a dedicated team of 1:1 Tutors in the academy. Applications are invited from both newly qualified and experienced professionals. You will work closely with the weakest readers of Key Stage Three and will be trained on the Ruth Miskin Fresh Start Programme.

This is a fantastic opportunity for enthusiastic, driven professionals to join our Family of Schools. You must possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students and share our single goal of ‘students first’.

The successful applicant will put the needs of young people first, have a passion for learning, excellent interpersonal skills and will be both ICT and emotionally literate. Tutors will be required to prepare their own resources to meet the needs of the students but to also use resources where directed by the HoD or the Directors of subjects.
