1-1 Learning Support Assistant for Pre- School
Enderby Danemill Primary School
Grade 5 Pay Point 7-8 (£24,407 - £24,794).
7.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.
Fixed Term - until the end of the spring term (11th April 2025)
Enderby Danemill Primary School are looking for an individual to work specifically with a child in Pre-School, taking on a key adult role in supporting the inclusion of pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) and C+I (Communication and Interaction) needs. The role will involve providing both 1:1 support and facilitating group work. Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs is essential.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
- To work under the supervision of a teacher to provide care and encouragement to children and young people with disabilities or special educational needs, supporting them to participate in activities and liaising, if required, with parents / carers / other professionals as appropriate.
- To help prepare, monitor and maintain a safe and secure learning environment in line with the teacher’s lesson plans.
- To prepare and utilise ICT resources to support pupils learning.
- Participate in educational visits and off-site activities in order to support the full engagement of the designated pupil(s).
We are looking for someone who has:
- NVQ 2 in support Teaching and Learning, or Equivalent OR able to demonstrate the ability to meet the STL Level 2 National Occupational Standards relevant to this post.
- Experience of supporting teaching and learning in a formal setting.
- Knowledge of child protection and health and safety procedures
- Good interpersonal skills
