1:1 Learning Support Assistant job summary

Kedington Primary Academy is a friendly one-form entry primary school located close to Haverhill and part of the Unity Schools Partnership. We are seeking an excellent LSA (learning support assistant) to support a child in key stage 1 in the afternoons and a child in key stage 2 in the mornings. Both children have autism and need support to access the curriculum, but do not have challenging behaviour.

We are looking for someone who:
• is calm, positive and patient
• will support our trauma informed schools approach
• is passionate about supporting every child to achieve
• has the interpersonal skills to develop positive and supportive relationships with children, colleagues and parents
• is able to use their own initiative and can 'think on their feet'
• is efficient and organised
• has experience working with children with special educational needs

As part of the Unity Schools Partnership, we offer:
• a very friendly and welcoming school
• lovely, well-behaved children who are enthusiastic learners
• supportive colleagues and parents
• a supportive and driven leadership team
• a wide range of professional development opportunities

Please see the job descriptions for more details. This will be on a fixed term contact as it is dependent on additional funding for the children, but it is more than likely to keep being extended.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed within Covid restrictions. Please contact the office on 01440 702787 or admin@kedingtonprimary.co.uk for more information or to arrange a visit.

Closing Date: 09:00am, Monday 29th November 2021
