Salary: £14,085 to £14,321 per annum (LSA)
£1,285 to £1,296 per annum (MDS)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant to join Ratby Primary School on a fixed term basis until 26th August 2024, however this date will be reviewed and is likely to be extended based on continued funding. The successful candidate will work within our Key Stage 2 team and will also be required to provide lunch time cover for 30 minutes per day during term time.
The 1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant is responsible for supporting a child with general learning and emotional needs. We are looking to appoint an individual with a passion and commitment to supporting the needs of our children, and for someone who has the ability to liaise with parents and other educational professionals.
This role is a rewarding one with a successful candidate having the opportunity to gain more experience in the classroom and work with experienced and established staff in Key Stage 2.
The ideal candidate will have:
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in supporting teaching and learning
- Experience of supporting teaching and learning in an educational setting
- Experience of supporting SEN in an educational setting is desirable
- Knowledge of various health or SEND conditions and needs, e.g. autism, ADHD, diabetes etc.
- Show flexibility to adapt teaching methods to suit the needs of the child
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
