1-1 SEN support in Early Years – Docking Church of England Primary Academy and Nursery job summary
The school is looking for a hardworking and committed individual who is able to work using their own initiative, to join our friendly and supportive team.
We are looking to appoint a level 3 qualified teaching assistant to join our Early Years Foundation stage class to support a named child.
As a teaching assistant, you will be resilient and have a broad and interesting outlook on life. Ideally, you will have a good standard of education, however the role is supportive and it is essential that your personality is nurturing. You will be willing to learn aspects of behaviour management and possess the skills and attributes to implement strategies and potentially utilise de-escalation tactics to diffuse age-related behavioural issues.
Our ideal candidate will have experience of successfully supporting learning within Early Years and will display patience, enthusiasm, energy, good humour and work flexibly. Applications are especially welcome from individuals with an interest in outdoor learning / forest schools.
The ability to work independently and as part of our team is essential.
