Hockering Church of England Primary Academy is a small friendly village school which is part of the Diocese of Norwich Education and Academies Trust (DNEAT). It is part of the Trinity Federation of Church Academies along with Great Witchingham and St Peter’s Church of England Primary Academies, and was rated as a good school by OFSTED in every category in February 2019.

We are looking for someone able to:

  • establish positive and supportive relationships with children, parents and staff
  • work under the direction of the class teacher and as part of a team
  • be able to use initiative to support learning and behaviour
  • Use positive behaviour management strategies
  • provide individual, small group and in class support

What the school offers its staff

We can offer you:

  • A supportive, friendly working environment
  • Colleagues who work closely together and are committed to improving outcomes for children
  • Children that are well-behaved and eager to learn
  • Opportunities to develop your career through carefully targeted professional development across our highly successful 3 school Federation

It is essential you have previous experience of working with children who have additional needs and are able to work well on your own initiative as well as under direction from the class teacher.
