What skills and experience we're looking for
This post would be temporary for 15 weeks in the first instance. This post is based at Hockering, but there may be occasions where you may be expected to travel between our Federation sites.
Hockering Church of England Primary Academy is a small friendly village school which is part of the Diocese of Norwich Education and Academies Trust (DNEAT). It is part of the Trinity Federation of Church Academies along with Great Witchingham and St Peter’s Church of England Primary Academies, and was rated as a good school by OFSTED in every category in February 2019.
We are looking for someone able to:
- establish positive and supportive relationships with children, parents and staff
- work under the direction of the class teacher and as part of a team
- be able to use initiative to support learning and behaviour
- Use positive behaviour management strategies
- provide individual, small group and in class support

It is essential you have previous experience of working with children who have additional needs and are able to work well on your own initiative as well as under direction from the class teacher.
GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or adult literacy and numeracy at Level 2 is essential.
