Contract type: Fixed term - This is a fixed term appointment to provide support to a named pupil(s). The post is externally funded to support the named pupil(s). Subject to the probationary period and termination clauses, should you or the Employer wish to terminate your employment for any reason (eg if the funding were to cease or the named pupil(s) were to leave), either party may do so by giving 7 days’ notice.

What skills and experience we're looking for

Liskeard Hillfort Primary School is looking for a caring, enthusiastic and skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to work with individual children.

You will be pro-active in this role, supporting the educational, social and physical needs of pupils. We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated individual that can work alongside the SENDCo, class teacher and other school staff, to ensure that pupils in their care are supported to access the curriculum. This includes the ability to support planning, deliver and resource an individualised curriculum as appropriate. You will also need to assess, monitor and recordprogress, feeding back to the SENCo and class teacher and be confident to recommend adaptations / amendments to the provision to ensure full engagement of pupils learning.
