1:1 Teaching Assistant 35 hours job summary

Finham Primary School is a School in which children are equipped with the skills to be good learners and are inspired by high quality creative teaching. Our vision is to nurture, within all members of the school community, a good level of self-esteem and to develop a positive and confident attitude to life-long learning. We believe we can build on the foundations of earlier learning by encouraging children’s curiosity and enthusiasm for learning, enhancing it with first-hand experiences.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated and flexible Teaching Assistant, with a strong commitment to inclusive education, who is capable of working both independently and as part of a team in our friendly, dynamic and successful school.

The successful candidate will work one to one, working with a child with special needs to help them achieve their full potential both academically and socially.

The post requires NVQ III or above and experience of working with children is essential. Experience of working in early years and working with children with language and communication difficulties would be desirable.

We are currently recruiting for two positions. While experience supporting children with physical speech impairments is not essential for both roles, it is desirable for one of the appointments.

We are part of Finham Park Multi-Academy Trust and as such are committed to designing a 0-19 co-constructed curriculum and working across the child’s whole educational journey.

To request any of the documents in an accessible format l please contact apply@finhampark.co.uk or call 02477 180000 and select option 2 for HR.
