Located in South Oxfordshire, Abbey Woods caters for approximately 170 pupils, aged 3 to 11. It is situated in beautiful and spacious grounds, and we are an easy commute from the surrounding towns such as Abingdon, Didcot and Wallingford, along with good transport links to Oxford and Reading.

We have been on a journey of rapid school improvement and are very proud of our recent Ofsted grading of Good.  We are a small friendly school, we aim for high standards and outstanding achievement in a creative and fun environment. We encourage children to be successful learners, confident individuals and responsible citizens. 

The emotional wellbeing of every child is also an essential part of our ethos. We nurture and help our children to learn how to be happy, enjoy meaningful relationships with family and friends, and live their lives without fear or worry. 

We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate Teaching Assistant to join this dedicated team.

Our children would welcome a Teaching Assistant who will nurture their potential, encourage aspiration and maximise their enthusiasm and willingness to learn. The successful applicant will be passionate about transforming the lives of children and bring with them an abundance of enthusiasm which can encourage engagement and commitment from our pupils. Whilst experience is not necessary, you must have a good standard of literacy, be adaptable and willing to be involved in all aspects of school life, have a calm manner and be able to work as part of a team.
