Role: 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Start Date: as soon as possible
Salary: Grade C SCP 5-6 FTE £24,790 - £25,183 per annum (Actual pro-rata salary £14,326 - £14,554 pa)
Location: Roseacre Primary Academy
Contract type: Part-time, Fixed term until 31/08/2030
Hours: Term Time Only, 25 hours per week across 5 days

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 1 child who is working significantly below age-related expectations. The child requires intensive support to access the curriculum. The ideal candidate will provide consistent 1:1 and small group support, adapt learning activities, and foster the development of early play, learning, and emotional regulation skills.
The role also involves supporting the child's fine motor skills, specifically pencil control and mark-making, while encouraging early literacy and numeracy awareness. The successful candidate will be patient, proactive, and able to create a nurturing and supportive learning environment, enabling the child to make continued progress and build confidence. In addition to supporting this child, you must be flexible and respond to the needs of the wider team as appropriate and instructed.
The ideal candidate would be able to start as soon as possible and will be on a fixed-term contract until 31st August 2030, as this is when the pupil is expected to leave Roseacre to attend High School.

- Has a Level 2 qualification or equivalent, or relevant experience with childcare/ education.
- Has previous and substantial experience of working with children with SEND.
