1:1 Teaching Assistant job summary
About the role: Dartford Primary Academy has a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team and provide support for pupils within our school. The successful candidate will need to have relevant experience and/or qualifications in working with primary-aged children. We are also looking for the successful applicant to have a proven high standard of both spoken and written English and Mathematics. Being able to communicate effectively with children and adults is essential, together with a friendly and approachable manner. The successful candidate will be able to work using their own initiative and can demonstrate effective behaviour management skills. In return, they will join a supportive environment with plenty of development opportunities within the academy and across the wider Trust. This is a unique role where you will have the opportunity to provide intensive support to some of our children in order to help them progress.
The working basis is Monday to Friday, 9.10am - 2.45pm with 30 minutes for lunch each day and is fixed term until December 2021, with potential to extend thereafter once reviewed every six weeks.
