1:1 Teaching Assistant job summary

1:1 TA

Greens Norton CE Primary School is inclusive and strives to provide the best education and care it can, to help every child, whatever their starting point, to be the best they can be and reach their potential. As such, we are seeking two caring and committed Teaching Assistant who can inspire, motivate and support children in our school on a 1:1 basis.

Position 1 - 10 hours per week, 38 weeks per year to work with a Year 1 child on a fixed term basis until 31 August 2025 (£5,155.54 - £5,241.01 actual salary per annum)
Position 2 - 15 hours per week, 38 weeks per year to work with a Year 3 child on a fixed term basis until 31 August 2025 (£7,733.30 - £7,861.53 actual salary per annum)

The ideal candidate will be someone who:

  • Has a good knowledge of SEN Provision
  • Is confident, resilient, and dedicated
  • Has previous experience of working with and supporting children of relevant age in a school environment.
  • Has good communication skills and a willingness to work constructively as part of a supportive team.
  • Has good Literacy and Numeracy skills.
  • Has the ability to build successful working relationships with both children, staff and parents.
  • Has a personal commitment to on-going professional development.
