About the role
Hob Moor Community Primary Academy has an opportunity to welcome a Teaching Assistant into their team. This is to work 30 Hours p/w, Monday - Friday, these hours will be worked during the school term time.
As a Teaching Assistant you will play a key role in the child’s day, you will be passionate about teaching and learning and believe in developing the true potential of all our children. You will have a calm and positive disposition, the ability to break down activities into small step by step teaching and will nurture, inspire, challenge and motivate pupils. Implementing clear boundaries and routines. You will use behaviour management in all areas around school.
You may work with the child in small groups or on a one to one basis, depending on their individual needs, this will be supported and guided by the Class Teacher.
You will be a calm, caring and patient person who is dedicated to helping children learn, grow and flourish.
The job requirements
You will have fantastic communication skills which will allow you to work closely and effectively with the children, parents and carers and the school team.
You will be able to multitask, help plan and deliver stimulating and interesting activities and be confident in playing with children and reading stories aloud.
Although experience of working with children would be an advantage it is not essential, however you will have a good understanding of how to support children's learning and behaviour, Special Educational Needs and Safeguarding.
