Are you a Teaching Assistant looking for the opportunity to develop your skills and experience?

Are you looking for a rewarding role, where you can make real change and impact the lives of the children you work with?

If so, Trinity Primary School wants to hear from you!

Tucked within the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside is Trinity, a primary school situated in the quaint village of Aldwincle, with connections to Kettering, Thrapston and Corby in under 20 minutes. Here, children thrive and are challenged within an environment that champions innovative learning and creative thinking, through a broad and balanced curriculum, delivered by staff who share in our vision, to nurture their social, emotional, and spiritual development, as equally as the growth of knowledge.

At Trinity, we believe that children learn best when they can take ownership of their learning and are inspired by their subject. Therefore, we employ enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and supportive specialists, to deliver our engaging, innovative curriculum and inspire everyone to reach their God-given potential.

We are seeking a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team and support us in our mission to provide the very best in education for the children of Trinity. The role will involve supporting a KS1 child on a 1:1 basis, working collaboratively, sensitively and empathetically to meet their additional needs, promoting independence and inclusion, to support their achievement and inspire them to reach their potential and flourish. Please see the attached Job Description and Person Specification for further detail on the responsibilities of this role.

Following a successful Ofsted Inspection in June 2023, our school has received a very well-deserved rating of Good. Ofsted Inspectors commented that relationships between pupils and staff are ‘warm and considerate’ with pupils stating, ‘there’s such a nice, safe atmosphere here.’ Central to our success is our amazing staffing team, who work hard to create a calm, settled learning environment for our pupils, who are polite and proud of their work, with positive attitudes towards learning. We are therefore looking for our newest Teaching Assistant to work to uphold these expectations and contribute to this environment.

We are seeking someone who:

  • Is enthusiastic, approachable, friendly and positive about their role in education and contribution to our whole school community;
  • Is committed to supporting, motivating and challenging the learning of children of all abilities within the classroom
  • Work creatively with the teacher to establish an appropriate learning environment, meeting the needs of the pupils and curriculum
  • Ability to work effectively, flexibly and independently
  • Shows initiative and creativity in different learning situations;
  • Is passionate about children’s learning and well-being;
  • Is keen to support the ethos of a Church school.

In return, Trinity Primary School are proud to offer a ‘welcoming, happy’ environment, that places our values are the heart of everything we do – children and staff alike.
