Working pattern

Part time: 28.75 hours per week, 8.45amam – 12.00pm and 12.30-3.00pm Monday to Friday, 38 weeks per year (term time only, excluding TD Days).

Contract type

Fixed term - The appointment will be fixed-term due to funding for a named child and the contract will end when he/she leaves Queen’s Crescent School or no longer needs support.

Full-time equivalent salary

D4-D6 £21,189 - £21,968 pro rata

Actual salary

Actual salary £13,767 - £14,273 per annum

What skills and experience we're looking for

Duties will include:

  • Supporting a pupil learning 1:1 work. The exact tasks will depend on the learning support needs of the pupil.
  • Supporting pupils self-esteem, inclusion and behavioural development
  • Provide physical/personal care to pupils where required
  • Supporting the Teacher/s
  • Supporting the curriculum - Support the delivery of the English and Mathematics curriculum along with other aspects of both the National Curriculum and the enhanced curriculum offered by the school.
  • Support the school e.g. assisting with setting up, storing and retrieving and general maintenance of classroom equipment and teaching aids.

We are keen to hear from individuals who are patient, calm, organised and adaptable. Being able to work as part of a team is essential, as well as being able to use your own initiative. A positive outlook and a sense of humour is essential.

What the school offers its staff

Queen’s Crescent School is a two-form entry primary school, based in Chippenham with over 400 pupils on roll across 14 classes. In 2014 the school became a single academy trust and subsequently joined Pickwick Academy Trust in 2017 as one of the four founding schools.Queen’s Crescent is a vibrant school and our energetic, caring and positive staff are committed to providing the best primary education for all of our children.
