25hrs per week Teaching Assistant Duty NJC Grade C, £9.99ph
6.25hrs per week Mealtime Assistant Duty NJC Grade A, £9.41ph
Fixed Term linked to EHCP funding for specific support for two pupils with special educational needs. To commence as soon as possible.
Tedburn St Mary Primary School, part of the Link Multi Academy Trust, is seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant with Mealtime Assistant duties.
Required to join our successful and caring team, the post is to work as a 1:1 support for two children in Reception with special educational needs. We are looking for someone with a strong, sensitive and caring approach to children’s needs, who can be flexible and is able to be an effective communicator and think creatively.

You will need to show initiative, creativity and demonstrate the aptitude to work as part of a successful and growing team in Early Years to improve the life chances of our pupils and make every child feel ‘special’.

Ideally, you will:
- Have excellent literacy and numeracy skills;
- Be able to build positive relationships with children, staff and parents;
- Have high expectations of children’s behaviour and be able to maintain consistent boundaries;
- Be willing to work as part of a team;
- Be able to use your own initiative when required;
- Have experience in a similar role in a school;

You should have a good knowledge of phonics plus literacy and numeracy to GCSE A-C or equivalent. You would need to be flexible, as you will also be required to undertake the role of part time Meal Time Assistant.
