Birchensale Middle School is a popular 5-form entry middle school with over 500 pupils on roll, aged 9-13 years. We are a happy, vibrant learning community, with high aspirations for the children in our care and the staff team that supports them.

We are looking for a passionate practitioner to work within the SEND Team with a specific role to work with and support a student who has an EHCP. You will be required to support the pupil in mainstream lessons, in individual sessions when required and in other school activities such as trips and events, as appropriate.

Responsibilities include:

  • To provide tailored support to a pupil, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively
  • Facilitate communication between the pupil, teachers and peers.
  • To work closely with teachers, SENCO, and other professionals to implement effective support strategies
  • To ensure the pupil's safety and well-being, adhering to the safeguarding policies and procedures.
