1:1 Teaching Assistant job summary
15 hours per week - 11:30am until 2:30pm
Term Time only, 39 weeks per year

The Nethersole CE Academy is an academy within BDMAT (Birmingham Diocesan Multi-Academy Trust). We are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and hard-working Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated school team. The successful candidate will support in Key Stage 2 and work 1-1 with a child with an EHCP.
We are looking to appoint someone who is sympathetic to our Christian Distinctiveness and understands and is committed to living out our vision and values. Applicants must have recent experience of working in Education and preferably in Key Stage 2. The successful applicant will work under the direction of the class teacher and SENDco.
The successful candidate will have experience supporting children with SEND and preferably experience in supporting children with their social and emotional needs.
We require a Teaching Assistant who:
has energy and a positive work ethic;
is able to manage a physically demanding role
has the ability to develop children’s independence;
is a team player and can demonstrate collaborative strategies;
has high expectations of themselves and others;
uses their initiative and can work independently as well as under the direction of the class teacher.
