Job/Person Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate teacher who is looking to take on a rather unique opportunity here at St Nicolas. Our Year 6 cohort for September will require a 1:1 class teacher who will be able to plan and deliver bespoke lessons across the curriculum that ensure specific learning targets are met. You will work in conjunction with the Year 6 class teachers and be given a smaller classroom workspace to facilitate your teaching commitments. There will also be additional opportunities to teach and deliver lessons throughout the year group, both whole class and small group teaching. We are seeking a teacher who is caring, friendly and provides exciting opportunities for challenge within their learning.
The successful candidate will be well supported by a strong teaching and leadership team, in a thriving two-form entry school with engaged and motivated learners. There will be a supportive induction process as the teacher becomes part of our school team. As a school we give considerable value to staff well-being and workload - we listen to staff and adjust our practice accordingly as we aim to maintain a sustainable and happy school environment.
