2 x 1:1 Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible Salary Band 3 Starting Salary - £19,171 - £20,344 per annum pro rata

1 x 1 year fixed term contract to support a Year 4 pupil 19/054 (25 hours 39 weeks per year) 1 x 1 year fixed term contract to support a Year 6 pupil 19/053 (25 hours 39 weeks per year)

This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly formed Catholic Multi Academy Trust. St Thérèse of Lisieux CMAT is one of four newly created Catholic Multi Academy Trusts (CMAT’s) in the Diocese of Nottingham, which provides consistent, proactive and high quality support and services to all our head teachers, senior leaders and trustees.

Our Lady of Good Counsel are seeking to appoint two 1:1 teaching assistants to support the needs individual pupils with special educational needs.

The successful candidates would need to:

support a smooth transition into school and encourage independence work under the direction of the class teacher 

modify work to suit the child’s needs and encourage active participation in all learning provide lots of opportunities for communication 

provide regular opportunities to overlearn tasks 

have a good understanding of the National Curriculum, in order to be able to move the child’s learning forward 

assess the child’s learning against Individual Education Plan and Education, Health and Care Plan targets
