2 x Caretakers job summary

A vacancy has become available for a reliable, enthusiastic and self-motivated person to join our friendly and dedicated team based at South Avenue Primary School.

Duties will include the general maintenance of the building, hygiene control across all areas of the school, general security and site safety and some cleaning as required. You will be a key holder for the site, and some unsocial hours may be occasionally required.

The applicant is likely to have had previous experience of premises and general maintenance, should be physically fit, enjoy working as part of a team in a school setting and be a confident communicator. There will be a need for good time management, to prioritise duties and work on their own initiative. The successful candidate will ensure our school site is maintained to the highest standard to offer the best learning environment both indoors and out for our community.

South Avenue is a very popular two form entry primary school in Sittingbourne. It was formed in 2014 following the merger of the infant and junior schools, which occupy the same site, and is a member of Fulston Manor Academies Trust.
