Hill View Primary Academy,Reach South Academy Trust is seeking to appoint an exceptional TeachingAssistant to join the School in April 2024.

FTE Salary Range: NJC Bournemouth Grade 3,Point 4-6, £23,114 - £23,893, pro rata for part time

Actual Annual Salary Range: £15,677 - £16,205 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent, part time andterm time only (39 weeks per year).

Contract Hours: 28hours & 20 minutes perweek. Working hours will be 8.50am to 3.15pm. Monday to Friday with a 15min break, unpaid break in the morning and 30 minute lunch break but these hours may be subject to change.

About the role

We are seeking to appoint an excellentTeaching Assistant, which may involve working with SEND pupils as well assupport across the year group and who are keen to develop their practiceworking within a supportive and co-operative team. We are looking forcandidates that are hardworking, dedicated, and enthusiastic about children’sachievement. The Teaching Assistant chosen will need to participate in theeveryday learning of young children and be prepared to become fully involved inall the activities needed to stimulate and inspire young children’simaginations. In house training and support will be provided as well asexcellent training opportunities from outside agencies.

About the successful candidate

Weare looking for candidates who have a passion and desire to accelerate theprogress and raise the achievement of all our children. We are looking forpeople who have the following experience and qualities:

  • Holda NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or other relevant qualification in nursery work orchildcare
  • GCSEsat grades 9 to 4 (A* to C) including English and Mathematics or equivalent
  • Experienceof working with Primary children aged 4-11 years and their families
  • Treatpupil’s with dignity, building relationships with mutual respect
  • Havean ability to work independently and use own initiative
  • Beable to display effective communication skills with both children and adults
  • Beeager to work collaboratively in a wider team, be adaptable and open to newideas and practices
  • Ableto deal with change and unpredictability positively with a ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Emotionallyresilient and self-aware
  • Bedriven by a passion and commitment to inclusive education and raising standardsfor all
