Reach South Academy Trust is seeking to appoint an experienced Clerk to Governors for the Bournemouth area to join the Trust as soon as possible.
Post: Clerk to Governors
Location: Bournemouth Based (covering Malmesbury Park Primary School, Hill View Primary School and Parkfield School)
FTE Salary Range: Bournemouth Grade 4, £23,893 rising to a maximum of £25,119 per annum, pro-rata for part time
Contract Type: Part Time, Permanent; Term Time only
Contract Hours: 9 hours per week paid per year to cover termly meetings / clerking for all three schools.
About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our rapidly developing Multi Academy Trust for a talented Clerk to join our team. This Clerk to Governors role is for all three Reach South Bournemouth schools to provide an exceptional consistent clerking provision for the Trust. Meetings usually take place once per term for each school however there will may be additional meetings depending on school requirements.
About the successful candidate
The successful candidate will have experience of clerking for Local Governing Bodies and knowledge of Governing Body procedures and relevant legislation. You will have the ability to remain impartial at all times. There must be a flexible approach to working hours as meeting times can vary school by school.
You will be someone who feels an affinity with our values and our vision seeking a core purpose of delivering for our pupils and communities. Other skills, knowledge and experience we look for include:
Someone who is customer focused, understanding how to set and exceed expectations in relation to the support provided by the clerk.
Has demonstrable experience in writing agendas and accurate concise formal minutes, and an excellent attention to detail.
Good communication skills with the ability to engage with and build effective relationships using both written and verbal communication.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines
Is confident in using different systems and has a working knowledge of Microsoft Office software/applications.

Reach South is a young and developing Trust which operates across the South West of England with the aim of delivering all through 3-19 education.
