Reach South Academy Trust is seeking to appoint an exceptional Accounting Manager to join the Trust in January 2025.
Post: Accounting Manager
Location: South West (hybrid delivery model of home and site-based according to business requirements)
Salary Range: Grade H Pt 30-34 £39,513 - £43,696 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time
Contract Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday 08:30 – 17:00

About the role
As an Accounting Manager at Reach South, you will work as part of the Finance Team to support the finance function of a cluster of 17 Academies. You will support the Director of Finance, Head of Finance and Executive Business Managers, ensuring that they receive timely and accurate information to enable them to effectively carry out their duties. You will manage the Finance Business Partner, providing advice and training as required, and deputise for the Director of Finance and Head of Finance in their absence.
What we’re looking for
We are looking for a successful candidate who has:
- Substantial experience in financial management
- Experience in the oversight and improvement of internal controls, experience of reporting budgets to non-financial personnel, and experience working with purchase and sales ledgers systems and payroll systems
- Experience of managing teams and staff
- Professional level accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA)
- Highly organised and solution-focussed with good problem-solving skills
