Goosewell Primary Academy, Reach South Academy Trust is seeking to appoint an exceptional and experience Teaching Assistant to join the School for January 2025.

Post: Teaching Assistant

Location: Goosewell Primary Academy, Goosewell Road, Plymstock, Devon, PL9 9HD

FTE Salary Range: NJC Grade C, Point 5 – 7, £24,790 - £25,584 per annum pro rata

Actual Salary: £14,906 - £15,383 per annum

Contract Type: Fixed-term contract until April 2025, term-time

Contract Hours: 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday

About the role

Goosewell Primary Academy is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and committed Teaching Assistant to join our committed teaching team. The ideal candidate will be hard working, friendly and outgoing and have relevant experience of working in a school setting. They will have a passion for supporting young children’s learning and development and enjoy working as part of a team.

About the successful candidate

This is a great opportunity for a self-motivated and well organised individual. We are looking for people who have the following experience and qualities:

  • Have at least Level 2 Teaching Assistant and/or Level 2 Early Years Qualification (or equivalent to these)
  • Be able to display effective communication skills with both children and adults
  • Be eager to work collaboratively in a wider team, adaptable and open to new ideas and practices
  • Be a fast and highly flexible thinker, being able to deal with change and unpredictability positively with a ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Experience of working with SEN children preferable
