What skills and experience we're looking for
Religious Studies are looking to recruit a suitably ambitious 2iC, who can teach KS3 and KS4 (and possibly KS5) Religious Studies. The Department i8s high performing, friendly and supportive. Full support and training will be provided for the teaching of KS3 History.
For September 2024, our 2IC Religious Studies will be:
- An innovative teacher to lead a key area of the Religious studies Department
- High expectations of students in terms of learning, achievement and behaviour
- Enthusiasm for developing innovative approaches to learning, teaching and student participation
- The learner at the centre of their vision
- The ability to inspire, challenge, motivate and empower our students to achieve
- Excellent knowledge of the Religious Studies National curriculum at KS3 and KS4. Knowledge of KS5 curriculum is desirable.

This includes three staff training afternoons, two department meetings and one twilight training session every 6 weeks. Lessons finish for students at 1:40 pm on a Friday.
