We are seeking a motivated and progressive person to work with the HOD to promote student learning, monitor and support progress, and be accountable in raising achievement and standards. You will effectively line manage members of staff, be responsible for curriculum coverage, continuity, progression and develop teaching and learning such that there is a measurable impact on pupil performance and achievement. You must be able to teach across all key stages.
The successful candidate needs to be self-motivated, ambitious and an excellent classroom teacher with the ability to embrace and drive forward pupil outcomes.

Evidence of commitment to further personal and professional development
Qualified teacher status
Essential skills and experience
A proven record of successful experience with secondary aged pupils either on recent teaching practice or in a previous post.
A willingness to become a form tutor within the pastoral system
Experience of participation and commitment to a team approach to the teaching of the specialist subject including the development of teaching resources
Energy and enthusiasm for the subject
Vision and initiative which maintain motivation for the pupils
Ability to plan effectively, setting priorities and targets for implementation
Good inter-personal skills including the ability to lead and line manage a team
The ability to use ICT in all aspects of teaching and learning
The ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in written form to a variety of audiences
A clear commitment to the Equal Opportunities Policy operating in the school
