What skills and experience we're looking for
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following;
- Qualified Teacher Status
- the ability to motivate students and achieve excellent results
- excellent organisational and ICT skills
- very good subject knowledge including statistics
- the capacity to work collaboratively and lead people
- a passion for maths and the ability to inspire and share this with young
- a commitment to developing in the role through proactive engagement

The Forest School is a highly successful, friendly and dynamic 11-16 School, committed to achieving high standards and to developing the potential of all our students and staff. It is an exciting time in the history of the school as from September ‘21 the school had its first co-educational intake now has over 100 girls. This summer has seen our best Mathematics results for a number of years with 80% of our students achieving a grade 4 or above and 21% achieving a grade 7 or above. A key department in the school, the Mathematics department is central to the school’s vision of success. This is evident in the recent refurbishment of 6 classrooms roomsas well as further redevelopment throughout the school. We are seeking to appoint an exceptional practitioner to join and be second in department in our highly successful Mathematics team.
