The Role
We have created new positions in our technology subject area leadership and are looking to appoint an outstanding and inspirational 2nd in technology. The position will suit an experienced teacher looking for their first position in leadership. Do you believe that there are no limits to student achievement? If so, why not consider joining our school and make a real difference to our young people.
The technology department has been recently refurbished with three food rooms, a new purpose built multi use room, four existing workshops and a computer room shared across the department.
This position covers the planning, delivery and coordination of the curriculum in the areas of Product Design, Graphics, Engineering and Food. This includes developing the key stage 3 content to ensure it is equipping students with the skills and knowledge to progress into the courses offered in key stage four and in the future key stage five. The 2nd in technology will take on specific responsibility for a key stage or subject area.
Working as a team with the Lead Practitioner for Vocational Subjects and the Subject Leader for Design and Technology, we are looking for someone who can play a key part in achieving outstanding outcomes and progressing the subject to delivery at key stage 5 as part of our Sigma Sixth provision.
