2nd Line IT Support Technician job summary
We run a Microsoft Windows network and make extensive use of Microsoft 365 E-mail, Sharepoint and Teams Cloud Services. We also use Microsoft SCCM and InTune for software deployment to Windows desktops, iPads and Chromebooks.
Professional development is important to us, and we’ll take the time to grow and develop your skills, knowledge, experience and formal qualifications. You would be involved in resolving ServiceDesk calls logged by staff across a number of Trust schools. You will also be involved in IT project work. Recent examples of this include the migration of schools from one network to another, implementation of a trust-wide VoiP telephony system and hardware and software upgrades at all schools.
Key responsibilities:
Delivering exceptional second line support, addressing a range of technical issues with agility and efficiency.
Engaging directly with staff at all levels, providing friendly yet thorough support, and establishing strong relationships based on trust and reliability.
Demonstrating a keen ability to juggle multiple tasks ('plate spinning'), showcasing your natural problem-solving talents to address challenges swiftly.
Conducting thorough investigations into complex issues, ensuring all customer needs are met with a solution-focused approach.

Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of relating well to staff and colleagues alike in a friendly yet professional manner

Knowledge and experience of firewall configuration and Internet filtering would be an advantage.
A full driving licence is essential
Experience in an educational environment would be an advantage
You will mainly work with our schools in North Norfolk but must have the ability to commute to all our schools.
Salary: £26,421 - £28,770
Contract: 37 hours per week
Benefits: Local Government Pension Scheme, minimum of 26 days annual holiday plus bank holidays
