What skills and experience we're looking for
Due to promotion, we are looking for two Assistant Headteachers to join our team and contribute to the strategic leadership of our school. You will be the strategic and operational lead for a phase of the school, as well as take on whole-school responsibilities (to be decided, but may include core subject leadership as well as other school-improvement priorities). Both posts involve a full-time teaching commitment, with weekly leadership time to fulfil your responsibilities.
These are key positions within our school and we would welcome candidates with exceptional leadership skills along with being highly motivated and an understanding of the challenges of an inner-city school.
The successful candidates will:
- Put the children at the heart of all they do.
- Be an excellent, creative and experienced classroom practitioner, with high expectations and the ability to support and challenge others.
- Be an inspirational and supportive leader, with the capacity and skills to work in partnership with others, ensuring all of our children and staff achieve their full potential.
- Have experience of coaching and mentoring others to develop their practice.
- Be an effective communicator to all stakeholders.
- Be committed to their own professional development.
