The positive impact you can have on a young person’s life is likely to be the reason you became an educator. At The Woodlands School, that impact will be greater than you could have imagined. If you share our ethos and values and believe ‘being unique should be celebrated’ and want to achieve the best possible outcomes for our students, then we are the school for you.

The Woodlands School is an all age (Reception to Year 14) special school for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder or Social Communication Difficulties with associated learning difficulties, operating across 3 Campuses in Milton Keynes. All the students have Educational, Health and Care Plans.

Key to the role will be learning what engages each student, how they learn and how they are motivated, channeling these factors into how you teach each subject, so that every student gets the most out of every day. You will inspire your students to enjoy a range of subjects, bringing each lesson to life, engaging them in a love of learning.

We are looking for an outstanding teacher, who is dedicated to the welfare, safeguarding and achievement of every child; who wants to make a difference and knows the pathway that will allow students to do so. The vacancy will be within our KS2 department at our Hertford Place Campus.

If you have not worked in SEN before, but are enthusiastic and motivated to make the move, we will give you additional training and provide support. If you would like to join an enthusiastic, friendly and hardworking team then we look forward to receiving your application. ECT’s are also welcome to apply.

Visits to the school are encouraged. The Woodlands School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. The successful applicant will require an enhanced DBS check. We are an equal opportunities employer.

For information or to arrange a visit to the school please contact ruth.roberts@twsmk.co.uk
