What skills and experience we're looking for
Experience of working with children of relevant age in a learning environment.
Experience of successfully implementing national curriculum and other relevant learning programmes or strategies.
A proven track record of raising pupils’ progress and attainment levels in a range of classroom settings, including working with individuals, small groups and whole classes.
Specialist skills or training in the relevant curriculum or learning area, e.g. behaviour management, SEN, individual subject areas as indicated
Experience of producing lesson plans and worksheets and of administering assessing and marking tests.
Training in relevant learning strategies.
NVQ 2 or 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent experience supporting teaching and learning in schools

We are looking to appoint enthusiastic and caring Senior Teaching and Learning Support Practitioners who will play a key role in delivering teaching and learning in our Sanctuary provision which provides bespoke education to children and young people across Key Stages who have faced past experiences around trauma and mental health.
The successful candidates will have an HLTA qualification, be resilient and able to support learners with complex and challenging behaviour.
The successful applicants must have experience of working in a trauma informed setting.
