MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Active study area support:
To assist with the raising of standards and achievement at KS5
Provide continuous support and supervision within the 6th form study area, encouraging a focused and productive atmosphere for students to work in.
Ensure all students are actively engaged in their studies during designated study periods
complete registers as assigned to your timetable
Address any concerns related to uniform or behaviour and guide students toward a resolution in line with school policies
Act as a point of contact for students seeking advice about study techniques, stress management or future planning
To monitor equipment within the Sixth Form spaces and report any issues to I.T.
To oversee lunchtime use of Upper Library space
Attendance monitoring
Track and monitor 6th form student attendance, following up on absences in a timely manner and referring any concerning patterns to the appropriate staff
Work with students & parents to improve attendance where necessary
To produce a daily list of all students who arrived at school late
Support with Detentions
Assist in the administration and supervision of detentions for 6th form students
Support the leadership team in addressing student behavioural issues where required
To ensure students receive communication about their detention
To ensure the smooth running of detention in collaboration with the AAP 6th Form Pastoral
Extracurricular Development
Work with staff and students to develop & manage extracurricular programmes that enrich students’ educational experience including but not limited to: clubs, trips and work experience
SEN & EHCP Progress Monitoring
Track the progress & needs of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs) working closely with the SEN coordinators
Provide tailored support and guidance to ensure that these students can access the full range of educational opportunities and make consistent progress

Eden Park High School is a new school in Beckenham. We opened in 2017, moved into our purpose-built new premises in 2019, celebrated our first ever GCSE results in 2022 and have opened our new Sixth Form this September.
