Academic Mentor job summary
As an Academic Mentor you will play a key role in the country’s recovery from Covid-19, as part of the government-backed National Tutoring Programme. With the aim to reach 250,000 pupils in England that may have encountered barriers to learning, this is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact by delivering quality tuition sessions to small groups.
We’re looking for passionate, driven and caring people to support those whose education has been most affected by the disruption caused by the pandemic. As an Academic Mentor you will be employed on a fixed term contract until July 2022 to deliver a tailored programme of support predominantly in, either English or Maths.
It is essential that candidates’ evidence and share with us their educational ethos and personal characteristics that demonstrate their potential to support, teach and give and expect respect of and from the pupils and colleagues. Applicants will be truly committed to supporting all pupils to make progress, have high aspirations for all pupils’ success and will contribute to ongoing planning with imaginative and innovative ideas.
