You will be the first person that visitors meet when they enter the school and therefore this is an important role. This is an integral position within the school with many different strands and areas of responsibility. You will work closely with the Academy Head and staff to ensure the smooth running of all aspects relating to the school as well as the Trust Central Business team for other finance and HR related matters. Being able to work to very tight deadlines and under pressure is key in being a successful administrator. Attention to detail, strong organsational skills and the ability to efficiently and effectively switch from one task to another, prioritising throughout the day are vital in this role.

Loyalty and professionalism are key to working as part of a successful and growing team improving the life chances of our pupils and make every child feel ‘special’. Our size allows us to know every child well, while our shared systems and professional networks ensure high standards and continual improvement. Education is always evolving, and we are committed to staying forward‑looking, reflective and responsive.

Our long-term strategy focuses on excellence in teaching rich and meaningful curriculum experiences, and the wellbeing of every child and member of staff. Whatever changes, our vision and values remain constant - guiding us to act with integrity, compassion and ambition. We will provide you with the tools and support to develop your own expert knowledge and skills. You will be part of a proficient team dedicated to working to improve the outcomes for all our children, where your work life balance will be promoted. We offer you the support of clear systems, protocols, expectations and structures to help you to succeed as an administrator.

We are looking for a cheerful, motivated person who:

- Is able to work effectively with our staff team

- Is organised and works well under pressure

- Is personable, professional and welcoming to all visitors, pupils, parents and staff

- Has excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Has excellent ICT skills and able to use ICT to produce professional documentation

- Has a sense of humour, likes children and has a caring disposition

Previous experience of working in a school administration role is preferable, but full training will be provided. We have a Senior Support Administrator who would provide the initial induction and training necessary for the successful applicant. As a Trust of 23 schools the administrators work in locality hubs and the successful applicant would have not only the support of the senior administrator who would be on hand to assist, as necessary, but also other experienced administrators within a very strong overall team across the trust.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. A DBS disclosure and online Social Media check are required for this post.
