We are looking for an inclusive Academy Co-teacher / unqualified Teacher with creativity and resilience to join us on our journey. Greenacre School is one of the UK’s largest special schools, educating over 300 children and young people with severe and complex learning disabilities. In addition to the main site, the school has a number of satellite classes, which are based within local mainstream settings. This model supports Greenacre’s steadfast commitment to social inclusion. RESPONSIBILITIES

- Undertake a designated programme of teaching related to the curriculum map

- Teach pupils according to their needs, including the setting and marking of work

- Assist in the teacher development of an appropriate curriculum, resources, schemes of work, marking policies and teaching strategies in curriculum areas and departments

- Plan and prepare courses and lessons with oversight from teaching staff

- Take part in a range of development programmes and opportunities

- Support the implementation of quality assurance activities

- Contribute to the process of monitoring and evaluation with teaching staff

CRITERIA

  • GCSE English/ Maths at grade A-C or equivalent

  • Degree or working towards

  • Commitment to achieve Qualified Teacher Status
