What skills and experience we're looking for
Broadfield Primary School (BPA) BPA is a diverse and dynamic primary school with its own nursery which is part of The Kemnal Academies Trust (TKAT). We are looking for a dynamic ACE LEAD to join our team and to continue to drive ACE forward. Our core purpose is to provide every child with strong foundations for future success in and out of school. We are committed to improving the life chances of every child and we strive to remove barriers created by social inequality. We are part of The Kemnal Academy Trust (TKAT) who have a dedicated programme of support and network for disadvantaged children (ACE). BPA is also committed to provide clear career progression for staff: opportunities to lead, work across TKAT, study for external qualifications are provided and planned for.

What the school offers its staff
To ensure that ACE tutors:
○ make meaningful regular contact with each PP pupil and/or their families.
○ have up-to-date knowledge of each PP pupils state of well-being
○ have up-to-date knowledge of the barriers to engagement for each PP pupil
○ work with the school and other agencies to use resources to tackle barriers
○ receive the training they need for their roles
○ have up-to-date knowledge of enhanced safeguarding and school safeguarding procedures
- To be proactive in developing the programme to suit the needs of the school
- To ensure data and tracking systems are in place and kept up-to-date
- To have an overview of PP attendance across the whole school
- To ensure student “profiles” (including talents and strengths) are in place and kept up-to-date
- To ensure that all reporting mechanisms are in place including in-school and to TKAT
- To ensure smooth communication between the ACE tutors and relevant staff including the school including Phase/Year Leaders
- To liaise with SLT about the ACE programme and PP children’s needs.0
- To monitor, evaluate and report on the implementation of the ACE tutor process
- To have up-to-date knowledge of external agencies.
Success Criteria: Pupil Premium pupils with ACE Tutors, over time and relevant to the context, will have:
- Rapidly improving attendance or attendance that is at or above the national average for all non-PP pupils.
- Rapidly improving or good pupil engagement in relation to their peers.
- Rapidly improving outcomes or outcomes that are at or above the national average for all non-PP pupils.
- Increased uptake to opportunities offered by the school outside of the classroom including raised career aspirations
- Increased communication between school and home with rapid intervention or referral processes, as required
- Where possible, required resources have been provided in order to support success
