Achievement Leader with EYFS specialism job summary
Brimsdown School is a vibrant and successful three-form entry Primary School with a Nursery. We are culturally and socially diverse and have a strong inclusive ethos. We have purpose built specialist provision for up to 12 Deaf children where children are fully integrated into mainstream classes with specialist support provided by a Teacher of the Deaf. Deaf Instructors and Communication Support Workers. We are looking for an excellent primary practitioner, with EYFS specialism, to join our skilled team with a total communication approach.

We are looking for a teacher who can offer:
• To be an exemplary Class Teacher within the year group for which you are an Achievement Leader.
• To be accountable for progress and achievement within your year group by analysing data, reporting to SLT, identify areas of under achievement, implement interventions/boosters and evaluate their effectiveness.
• To be responsible for promoting and supporting teaching and learning as set out in the Teaching and Learning Policy and other curriculum guidance within the year group.
• To impact in a positive and enthusiastic way on the staff team developing a strong, positive year group.
• To be responsible for the day to day management of the team.
• To be committed to own professional development, attending courses and taking an active interest in educational research.
• To communicate effectively and positively with parents and the wider school community.
• To lead meetings for planning and moderation of work.
• To monitor the learning environment for year group, e.g. displays, book corner.
• To ensure that any supply cover within the year group understand what they are teaching.
