Achievement Support Assistant (TA) job summary
We are seeking to appoint an Achievement Support Assistant to start as soon as possible. This vacancy is to work within the Key Stage 2 team initially.
Thorpepark Academy is part of Venn Academy Trust. Our Multi Academy Trust is a group of inspirational and aspirational mainstream and specialist schools in Yorkshire whose main objective is to ensure that all pupils make exceptional progress through the development of outstanding staff.
This post is for 30 hours per week, 38 weeks per year, term time only.
This role is a varied one, based both within and outside of the classroom. You will be required to use your initiative, and work with small groups, as well as at times be within the full class. Under the supervision of the teacher, you will use your skills to enhance the learning opportunities of the children within our school.
You will be highly organised, with the ability to:
- Be able to build strong relationships with children
- Motivate and develop the children in your care
- Be passionate about seeing young people succeed
- Be a team player but be able to work on your own initiative as well
