What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint 2 Achievement Support Assistants (GTA) (1 for our Primary provision and one for Year 7) at Brompton Hall School based near Scarborough, providing care, support and supervision in the classroom, external trips as well as planned activities based in school. There may be additional hours to work in the Extended day provision until 5pm Monday – Thursdays based on availability.

We are looking for:

  • Someone to work well as part of a professional team and able to use intitiative to organise and support teaching and learning activities for pupils identified as having a range of special educational needs.
  • Someone who possesses a strong vision and ethos that supports our values and culture.
  • Someone who is resilient, experienced with children who present challenging behaviour and who is committed to helping children manage their behaviour and emotions positively, whilst supporting them to achieve their best potential.
  • Someone who is flexible and open to working in an ever changing environment, able to take on the challenge of working with different pupils across the school if required.
  • An excellent practitioner with the ability to inspire children to learn and achieve.
  • A practitioner with a flair and passion for SEND education who will embrace working and supporting teaching in our school.
