What skills and experience we're looking for
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Very good classroom practitioner
- Detailed knowledge of current developments in education including the use of the Pupil Premium
- Knowledge and experience of intervention strategies
- Ability to put vision into practice
- Ability to devise new resources for learning
- Successful record of teaching
- SENDCo qualification/experience
- Able to use interactive ICT systems for teaching and learning
- Evidence of leading high quality extra-curricular activities
- Evidence of teaching Math's and English at KS2/3
- Significant contribution to the development beyond the classroom

We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspirational teacher to assist in the leadership of our experienced SEND Team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the success of the SEND department and will be integral to our future whole school development. Specific experience is less important than an unwavering desire to support all children, alongside a flexible and committed teamwork approach.
The ideal candidate will have the qualifications necessary to be the Acting SENDCo in the absence of our current SENDCo due to Maternity leave. They will be able to take responsibility for the effective management and organisation of the SEND department. The post will include a regular teaching commitment.
Experience of working with children who have additional needs is essential. This candidate must be self-motivated, professional, positive and supportive, possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have a passion for seeing all pupils make the best possible progress.
