What skills and experience we're looking for

Do you have a passion to support additional needs children with varied ability levels? Are you looking for an exciting new role within a large, popular and thriving Inner City school? If so, and you can demonstrate that you are passionate about maximising the learning potential of all our children, then this role could be for you.

We are looking to appoint an experienced Additional Needs Teaching Assistant to work with reception children with special needs. You will be a qualified and experienced Additional/Special Needs Teaching Assistant who has recent experience within a primary school or nursery setting, and a strong working knowledge of the early years curriculum. You will ideally have experience of working with children with physical and educational difficulties. You will be able to demonstrate resilience and calm in stressful situations, focussing on solutions with patience, kindness and empathy. Your previous experience of supporting similar pupils will help your understanding and confidence in supporting a child and their family in overcoming barriers to their learning. The successful candidate must hold an approved Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification.

We are a large 635 place primary (which includes 20 children in our 2 year old unit and 78 in our 3 year old nursery), with a rich ethnic mix of delightful and well-behaved children.
