About the role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Admin Assistant to work closely with the Office Manager and the wider school staff to join us on journey to achieving excellence for our students.
As an essential member of our team, you will handle a variety of tasks from managing schedules and organising meetings to maintaining records and covering reception duties.

Duties and responsibilities:
Create a positive, welcoming, and professional ethos at Howard Community Academy. To support the leadership team establishing and developing effective systems and ways of working.
Provide receptionist duties and secretarial and administrative support to the academy and the Nursery in liaison with Trust colleagues.
Be responsible for the day-to-day running of the school reception desk providing support to pupils, staff and parents.
Requirements:
- Good oral and written communications skills
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively to issues that arise
- Ability to plan, organise and prioritise to meet deadlines
- Ability to use own initiative and take action accordingly
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to use IT packages including word processing, spreadsheets
- and presentation software
- Ability to use relevant office equipment effectively
- Ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues
- Understanding of data protection and confidentiality
- Understanding of safeguarding
