The Federation:

The individual:

At Roots Federation we want to make a change for people with careers in early years setting, we are looking for a team who see their role as more than a job.

As a member of the administrative team, you'll be the backbone of our administrative efforts, responsible for:

  • Managing receptionist duties, welcoming visitors, and maintaining a professional atmosphere at Roots Federation – two days a week
  • Assisting with paperwork, data entry, and record-keeping to keep things running smoothly.
  • Collaborating with office managers and Headteachers to ensure efficient communication and support
  • Handling correspondence, emails, and phone calls with grace and professionalism.
  • Managing schedules, appointments, and calendars to keep everyone on track
  • Taking responsibility for some key tasks across the Federation.

You must be eager to learn, we encourage our teams to reach their full potential and we support them with a mix of growth initiatives and an incomparable learning environment from our Hertfordshire County Council apprenticeship scheme & the Continuing Professional Development programme.

This position is a variable role, two days would be based at Heath Lane Nursery School 8am-4pm and two alternate working days will be flexible across the Federation. This can include hybrid working, working within one of our three Hertfordshire Nursery Schools or from home. There is flexibility about days and times for two days – Heath Lane Nursery, Muriel Green Nursery School, Oxhey Nursery School.

All three Nursery Schools are located with working distance of Train Stations and Main Bus routes from all over Hertfordshire.
