Administration Assistant job summary
Salary: Grade 5 to 9, £24,790 to £26,409 (FTE). Pro rata £18,984.17 to £20,224.00
Hours: 32.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday 8.30am to 3.30pm, term time plus 5 INSET days

Reporting to: Office Manager, Headteacher

You will be a first point of contact for a range of stakeholders, so the ability to develop friendly and professional relationships and communicate effectively is key. You will be an ambassador for the school and embody the values of the school in all interactions.

To apply to this role, you will need the following:
- Previous admin experience, ideally within a school environment.
- Excellent customer service and clear communication on the phone, via email and face to face.
- Excellent IT skills, including experience of Microsoft Office programmes.
- Clear understanding of the principles of data protection, confidentiality and a commitment to safeguarding.
- Ability to work within school policies and procedures whilst also using initiative to identify improvements.
- A working knowledge of school data systems would be desirable but not essential, as on the job training will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Front of house duties in order to provide a warm welcome to all stakeholders.
- General office duties including answering the phone, managing email, ordering stock and dealing with deliveries.
- Completing daily administration tasks within our management information system, payment platform and finance portal.
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting.
- Working on longer term projects that contribute to the effective running of the school and that support colleagues, pupils and parents.
- Administering first aid and medications as required.
