Administration Assistant job summary

We are looking for a admin assistant to join our team here at Dogsthorpe Academy!

You can expect to support the office team in a range of administrative and clerical duties such as compiling data and creating and maintaining databases and other computerised systems. You will also be a point of contact for parent/carers, will deal with incoming and outgoing communications, handle messages and administer first aid.

To be successful, you will be confident, able to multi task, ‘think on your feet’ and have experience of providing a professional administration service in an educational setting with a strong understanding of safeguarding procedures.

You must possess excellent communication, customer service and literacy skills and be able to demonstrate an ability to quickly develop a working knowledge of policies and systems. You should be proficient in the use of Microsoft 365, have experience in working with data and have the ability to effectively organise, prioritise and remain calm under pressure.

Working pattern:

Monday to Friday 13:00 - 16:00

The Dogsthorpe Junior Academy, part of the Greenwood Academies Trust (GAT), is a junior academy situated in a small community in the north of Peterborough. It is led by the Principal, Julie Cranke, who aims to ensure that it delivers an exciting, innovative and creative curriculum that meets the needs of the pupils. All staff work hard to ensure that every pupil is supported and nurtured, helping them to develop the confidence and skills needed for the years ahead. In addition to the formal curriculum, pupils are also provided with a range of opportunities to follow their own interests and carry out individualised learning programmes.
