Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only + 10 days in school holidays

Hours: 37 hours per week (8:30am-4:30pm Mon-Thurs; 8:30am-4:00pm Fri)

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated, organised, and professional Administration Officer to join our dedicated team, following the retirement of a valued colleague. As the first point of contact for our school, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the academy’s administrative, financial, and HR functions. You will work collaboratively with Trust-wide experts, senior leaders, staff, and parents, representing the academy with warmth, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence. The successful candidate will work within a two-person office team, providing senior-level administrative leadership and guidance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a welcoming and professional first point of contact for visitors, parents, and staff.
  • Support senior leaders with administrative, HR, and organisational tasks.
  • Coordinate school communications, events, and record keeping.
  • Manage procurement, supplies, and petty cash in line with Trust procedures.
  • Oversee staff absence, recruitment, onboarding, and record management.
  • Assist with statutory returns such as the School and Staff Census.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with safeguarding and data protection requirements.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • A confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Experienced in administration, ideally within an educational setting.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office and comfortable using digital systems.
  • Committed to confidentiality, accuracy, and teamwork.
