Administrative Assistant job summary

We would like to appoint a warm and welcoming new member to joining our admin team. You will need good administrative and people skills as you will be the first line of contact with children, parents and visitors to the school.

The successful candidate will provide clerical support to the busy school office, pupils and teachers and will need to be flexible, reliable and hard-working within a team to ensure duties are carried out efficiently and effectively. 

Your role will be varied and could include dealing with pupil admissions and attendance, the administration of after school activities for children across the school, arranging and booking school trips and dealing on a daily basis with the ordering and payment of school lunches and nursery fees. You will promote our school throughout the local community by updating our website and social media platforms. 

As with any school office duties will vary from day to day and include administering first aid.

No previous experience of working in a school is necessary but would be an advantage. Knowledge of Arbor would be advantageous although training will be given. Good communication, numeracy and literacy skills, as well as previous administrative or clerical experience are essential. In addition a good sense of humour and the ability to multitask are important.
Visits to the school are encouraged and appointments can be made by telephoning the school.

32.5 hours per week, 40 Weeks a year  

Monday – Friday  8.30am – 4.00pm
