What skills and experience we're looking for
Queen Elizabeth’s Academy has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and dedicated Administration Assistant to join our dynamic, talented and supportive business team as soon as possible.
This is a fast-paced but highly rewarding role, where no two days are the same. The successful candidate will provide a comprehensive administrative service within the academy, supporting students, staff and parents where appropriate.
The role includes undertaking a diverse range of administrative duties to ensure the production of well-presented and accurate correspondence, reports and documentation, as directed by the Business Team Leader.
Key responsibilities will also include:
- Providing a professional and welcoming front-of-house service, dealing effectively with visitors at all levels
- Managing internal and external telephone calls and processing voicemail messages
- Handling written communication and emails
- Supporting the organisation and setup of meetings and rooms
- Undertaking general administrative duties as required
In addition, the successful candidate will be willing to undertake training as a First Aider and take responsibility for dealing with day-to-day minor incidents as required.
This is a busy and varied position, so candidates must be well organised, adaptable and hardworking.

This is a permanent part-time role, working 22.5 hours per week, term time only. For the right candidate, we can offer flexibility in how these hours are worked, provided they align with the needs of the academy.
Previous experience in a school office environment would be advantageous, but is not essential.
